Kia hauora, be healthy

Manuka blossom is enchanting and fragile.

Deep in the center, surrounded by a sweet aroma and petals of white and pink is a unique taonga (treasure of our land).

Manuka blossom is the sign of the seasons changing in the special ecosystem where New Zealand Manuka trees flourish. A mature manuka tree shows strength and resilience but its blossoms are delicate, and their presence quickly diminished by wind and rain.

Each Manuka blossom may only open to the sun’s rays for 5 days, making it a fleeting and precious manuka moment.

Orientated by tikanga.

We are tangata whenua, guardians of the land. We have an intimate relationship with the landscape, a rich cultural heritage, which guides our actions and protects our natural world. The manuka and the regenerative natural ecosystem in which it grows, and blossoms, is in our protection.

Our te ao Māori world view conceptualises the environment as an ancestor, an elder relative as Papatūānuku — earth mother — known from whom humanity descends and upon whom humans depend for their wellbeing.

Each of the elements of the environment in this world view has a spiritual guardian responsible for the care and protection of all elements within its realm, including forests, birds, sea, wind and weather.  Seeing the environment and its elements as a network of genealogical or whakapapa relationships that span the spiritual and physical worlds intrinsically brings great care.

The manuka blossom holds the essence of manuka which we carefully hand to you.
